Theme & Description: The program involves young people in exploring their own knowledge and feelings about peace and justice. Participants articulate a vision of a utopian society and then explore several major phenomena in the world today that manifest the opposite of peace and justice: conflict and violence, prejudice, hunger and poverty, waste, and war. Participants also learn about the contributions of many Unitarian Universalists, contemporary and historical, who have promoted peace and justice in the world. They reflect on the Unitarian Universalist story and vision as it relates to peace and justice issues of today, explore ways people work to create a more peaceful and just world, and participate in a peace and justice project of their own.
