Theme and Description A participatory adult religious education program to help parents enhance the religious dimension of family life. Each session is divided into three sections: theological concerns, Unitarian Univer salism in the home, and parent support group.

Age Range Adult
Size of Group 8 to 16
Space Requirements A comfortable room that is large enough for a circle of chairs. It is helpful if material can be posted on walls and if tables are available for some activities.
Number of Sessions 5
Length of Sessions 90 minutes
Leader Training Can be led by ministers, directors of religious education, or experienced lay leaders. Requires good facilitation and listening skills and an empathetic, accepting attitude.
Leader Preparation 1 hour per session

Adaptability Can be used with very small to large groups with co-leadership
Unitarian Universalist Values Explores, affirms, and models most of the UU Principles and helps participants live out the Principles in their family lives.
