UU RE Microsoft Access Database |
|---|
This database evolved during several years of use in a Unitarian Universalist Religious Education program at a local church. You may or may not find it helpful in your own RE program.
The database lets you enter information on your RE program's "pillars" (broad subject areas), classes, curricula, households, children, areas of volunteering (such as teaching or transportation), and volunteers. You can print the following reports for either the entire RE program or for a particular class: Attendance Sheet, Class Roster, Address labels to children, and Address labels to household adults. For any given volunteer area you can print a list of volunteers and mailing labels. You can also print other miscellaneous reports, including a report of households for which you have data but for which you have not received a current year registration form.
The author of this database claims no copyright, and places this database in the public domain. To use this database, you must have a validly licensed copy of Microsoft ® Access 2000 or later. THIS DATABASE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITH NO WARRANTY EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. IN NO EVENT WILL THE AUTHOR BE LIABLE FOR ANY DAMAGES OF ANY SORT ARISING OUT OF THE USE OR INABILITY TO USE THIS DATABASE. You are free to modify this database for your own use as you wish.
You may download and use the database for free. When you download the database, you will receive a file named "UUREDB_Setup.EXE". Save this file anywhere you wish on your computer, then run (open) it. It is a setup program that will ask you where to place the database on your computer. The setup program will place two files on your computer, the database itself and a 13-page set of instructions. (The instructions are in RTF format. You can read the instructions using Word, WordPerfect, or the WordPad accessory that comes with Windows.) The setup program also places shortcuts to these two files in your Start | Programs list.
