What we liked about the curriculum:
We used this curric. in both the K-1 group and the 2-4 group. It was very adaptable. We enjoyed finding our spot for observing nature in our garden. But, especially we loved the section on "Charlotte's Web", which is arguably the best thing written for children in the 20th century. Everything from birth to death, from the matter-of-fact to the magical, humor to grief, self-interest to heroism...it's all in here. They older kids had all read the book at least once, which made it easier jump into conversation about it's deeper themes.
What we didn't like about the curriculum:
We did not use the entire year long curric., choosing other things for fall and the winter holidays.
We simply didn't have the resources to do all the suggested field trips.
